GLOBAL WARMING

Today everyone is talking about global warming or using the term to describe this or that and is practically heard many times on a daily basis. But what is EXACTLY global warming and why is it being used in many different circumstances? Simply stated global warming is a condition of climate change that measures the long-term increases of the planet’s temperatures. Historical temperature measurements go back as far as the Industrial Revolution (1760 – 1840).

Current research indicates climate change driven by global warming could lead to more than 250,000 deaths around the world and drive 100 million people into poverty by 2030. Climate change leading to the disappearance of glaciers, rising sea levels, increased extreme weather activity and increases in infectious diseases will become more common occurrences.
